The space under our kitchen sink had always bothered me since it was hard to get access to anything stored in it, especially those things in the back. I had resolved to fix the issue and with some inspiration from internet searches ended up with a plan to install some drawer slides to create a storage space that could be pulled out from under the sink for better access. I anchored a plywood base and walls to the floor of the space with screws and tried hard to measure the three-dimensional space to account for the pipes and garbage disposal that would interfere with movable storage under there. I definitely messed up the dimensions a couple times and had to hack off some of the shelves but in the end had a storage solution that was able to slide out (slightly) and had an upper shelf for storing small things (on the left). I also installed some rechargeable lights to help with visibility.
